Life Lessons

Like most people we are all bombarded with different needs and requests all day, every day.  These are some bits of wisdom and life lessons I have picked up over the years.

What are values you live with regarding personal integrity, humor and openness?

  1. Be excellent to each other
  2. Always, always have a back door
  3. If there’s no back door be prepared to blow out the back wall
  4. Violence is the last solution to any problem
  5. Listen
  6. Walk; don’t run away from danger
  7. Never sit with your back to the door
  8. Learn from everyone
  9. Be fearless
  10. Be here, now
  11. Eyes and mind on where you’re going
  12. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty
  13. Hunt in packs
  14. There is strength in diversity
  15. Always have a back up
  16. Form battle rings when you’re outnumbered
  17. Become your own greatest work
  18. If you have to trade more than three emails, pick up the phone and call them
  19. Mean what you say, say what you mean
  20. Solve people problems slowly
  21. Bad decisions can be changed, slow decisions sow doubt
  22. Moods are for poets and lovers, they have no place in business
  23. Of perfection, there is no end
  24. Silence tells me everything
  25. Often the loosest grip has the tightest hold
  26. Don’t arrive before you get there
  27. Praise in public, criticize in private
  28. Have command of your data

  39. Customer Service Note: Most people are ok to wait but they won't stand for delays
